  1. The Old Year has vanished, all Hail to the New,
    To meet at this juncture: our past to review,
    All the vows we have made, once again to renew,
    To God and ourselves to be faithful and true.

    Man's life in this Planet is measured by Time,
    Which God has designed for purpose sublime,
    It is not to be tainted by evil or crime,
    But prudently spent in His service divine.

    "To Serve" is the duty imposed on us here,
    God above all, with devotion sincere,
    Clinging to Truth without favour or fear,
    And thus to prepare for a Holier Sphere.

    A record is kept by the Angel of Light,
    That is bound to attest how we fought the good fight,
    How we spent every hour in the wrong or the right,
    Since the dawning of reason first gave us insight.

    If good we have been thro' the years of the past,
    Or e'en the opposite, let us not be down-cast,
    But trusting to God trying to perfect our task
