    Reality or dream,
    You ran the race, you fought the fight,
    A follower of the Gleam.
    They lay upon your folded hands
    A wreath of asphodel.
    I speak above your peaceful face
    A sorrowing son's farewell.
    Oh memory wedded to the thought
    It was her soul that so
    Voicelike to Heaven, when Heaven she sought
    To bless her Boys repose
    And now that Boy a man of years
    Griefstricken bows his head
    Alone, apart, he mourns in tears
    His love, his Mother dead
