    The name of my house is Keane's. It is in the townland of Ballyine, in the Parish of Ardagh, and in the Barong of Glenquin. There are up to twenty four families in the Townland. There are nearly one hundred people in it.
    Barretts is the most common name. There are both thatched and slated houses in the townland. It got its name from a family called the Hynes's that lived there long ago. There is and old man living in the townland and his name is Joe Heffernan of Ballyine NewCastle West. He can tell English stories but he can not tell Irish ones.
