Not far from my house my father told me there was gold long ago. This gold was said to be found in a fence which leads from the Ballyloghane road to the Ballyine road. This fence is in the land of Mr. Heffernan.
A woman from the West of County Clare dreamt that in a fence in Ballyloghane near a forge and under an alder tree there was a large crock of gold. She started from Clare by train and came to Ardagh station and walked from that to Ballyloghane.
