- A hedge school existed in this district about fifty years ago . It was called the Glin hedge school . The hedge school was in Woulfe's farm in the Glin Create . It was indoor in a thatch cabin the pupils were taught . The Master was Michael Sheehan, He came for Clonehard Ballyhihil . Some schools ere carried on in the farmers houses .
