    Farewell boole west within my breast a love exists for you,

    Farewell Boole West within my breast a love exists for you,
    To your valleys fair & mountains rare
    I now must bid adieu.
    Beneath Columbia's slaty sky my weary
    head I'll rest.
    My longing eyes no more behold
    My lovely Sweet Boole West.

    Alas, how can I leave the scenes
    The scenes I loved so dear,
    The happy playmates of my youth,
    That whispered in my ear.
    "Stay at home no more to roam
    While life floats in your breast,
    For you have friends to welcome you,
    At home in Sweet Boole West".

    There is nothing now for me to do,
    But to cross the ocean's foam.
    To that Sweet land across the sea,
    Where the Irish find a home;
    And when I'm landed with my own
    They will place me to their breast,
