  1. There is a fort on Mr. O'Connor's farm near my house and the following story is told about it:
    One night two men were sitting on a hill nearby, and they saw two lights like two candles, coming out of the fort, and moving towards them. They then left the hill and went quickly towards the nearest house. The lights followed them, and one of the men turned back and shouted "quench that candle", but the light still followed and at last when the men reached the house, the man who shouted fainted on the floor. He fell sick and died less than a month after.
