  1. The well in Barrigone has a story. It is said that the well was in Mr. Shire's land, and the women used to wash the clothes in it. One morning a woman came, and she could find no well. After a few days another woman saw the well down by the tide. When the tide is in, it covers the well, and people go there when the tide is out. It is said that Our Lady is connected with it.
