  1. I did not hear of any hidden treasure around here. I heard of a hidden treasure around Askeaton. It is about a mile outside the town. There is a knocked down house and it is said that there was a pot of gold under the floor of the house. It was put there because if any one was caught that time with gold, it would be taken off them. The person who owned this pot of gold was a very small little man. Several attempts have been made but they all failed. After some time the man died and he left the pot of gold after him. Then the people made more attempts, and they got the treasure.
