  1. It is supposed that a frog put into the mouth three times will cure a toothache or the whooping cough. Babies get thrush in the tongue and it is said to get a goose or a gander and let it screech into the mouth of the child then it is supposed to cure the disease.
    There is a Holy Well over near Barrigone. People pay rounds on certain days and for certain ailments such as sore eyes and earache.
    The seventh son is generally supposed to be a doctor or a priest.
    Old people put a raw potato into their vest pocket for rheumatism. They also put a cobweb into a cut.
