    My Grandfather told me the following story about himself.

    My Grandfather told me the following story about himself.
    One night I was going to my Uncle's wake. I am 93 now so I was about sixteen years at the time this happened to me. I was crossing through a lovely place called McDonnels boy which is about four miles from Foynes when a dazzling light stopped me. I got very frightened. I wandered around for some time looking for a way out, but everywhere I went the light went before me. It kept me there till about daybreak. Then I went home and told my story to my father. He said It was surely Jacky was the head of the fairy tribe, and he used to come out at night to see if all the fairy tribe were in bed and also to lead people astray to his own fort by his magic light and there, to keep them prisoners, or else turn them into fairies like
