  1. Corgrig Castle was inhabited by some soldiers and their Commander did not the English to get the Castle. He put gunpowder into it and seven hours later it was blown up. Three years ago when people from Loughill were going home with hay their cart fell through the road and they found an underground passage reaching from Corgrig Castle to Shanid Castle.
