    road about twelve or one o'clock. He met a small black dog and he threw a small stone at him, and he got as big as a calf. The dog went as far as the man's house with him. When the man was closing the door it bent in and out.

  2. Long ago rich people used to hide their money in under the ground for safety.
    In Lisready there is some gold hidden in under a fort. It is said that there is a soldier and a cat minding it. They say that the soldier is there to cut off the head of the person that will try to get the gold, and the cat is there to lick up the blood.
    In Tenekilla there is a fort and there is gold supposed to be hidden there. Some local people tried to get it in days gone by but they were frightened off. There is another fort at the back of O'Callaghan's house in Tenekilla. There is a cave in it and it is said that there is gold hidden under it. Nobody ever tried to get the gold.
