  2. Collection of Prayers
The old people had many small prayers. They said them when going to bed, when they awakened in the morning, and when going to work. This is a prayer they said when going to bed.
"In this bed I lay on to sleep
To God I give my soul to keep,
And if I die before I wake,
To the Blessed Virgin I give my soul to take,
    Mathew, Mark, Luke and John,
God bless the bed that I lay on,
There are four corners in my bed.
