    1. Once upon a time a man was riding a horse, and on his way he had to cross a brook. When he reached the stream, the horse refused to budge any farther. he began to kick and sulk, and he put his leg into the stirrup. "Well", said the man, "If you want to come up here, wait until I go down first".
    2. An Irishman had a dream that he was going to Rome, and when he landed there, he met the Pope. The Pope asked him where did he come from. he told him that he came from Ireland. The Pope then said, "You have a long way. What will you have?, is it a drop of wine?. The man replied "Yes". The Pope then queried will you have it hot or cold. The man said he would have it hot, so it was put on to heat, and before it was hot the Irishman woke up form his dream, and he said, "If I only asked for it cold I would have had it".
    3. A farmer living on the side of a mountain sent his cow to a great factory. One day he expected to be paid by the post. He sent his daughter to the public road to wait for the postman. While she was waiting, she went into a neighbour's house, and was very impatient while inside. The people of the
