  1. Bird Lore (Nellie Culhane)

The wild birds found in my district are -
    The wild goose.
    The wild duck.
    The robin.
    The linnet.
    The blackbird.
    The hawk.
    The green plover.
    The yellow hammer.
    The bluetit.
    The magpie.
    The pigeon.
    The woodcock.
    The starling.
    The sparrow.
    The goldfinch.
    The wren.
    The wagtail.
    The jackdaw.
    The lark (The sky lark)

The eagle of a small size was seen and shot recently. The cuckoo comes annually, and the swallow soon follows. Both disappear on the approach of cold.
