  1. New Year's Eve
On New Year's Eve there is a great feast of anything and everything.
A loaf of bread is thrown against the principal door going into the road or street to ward off all hunger from the house and family for the coming year.
Presents are given and sent on New Year's Eve just as well as at Christmas and in some houses candles are lit.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
