  1. Local Happening
About four years ago a man was coming from Listowel about ten o'clock in the night with a drove of cattle. As he was coming home he saw a sow before the cattle and she would not let them go. He drew the whip and found no substance. He went home and he took ill. The priest was sent for and before he came eight white horses and men riding them were coming along and they one by one hit the window with the whip and the last one hit harder than the others and the man drew his last breath and died.
