    Old Crafts
    Nowadays basket making is a craft that is only found in certain places throughout the country while in olden times many men supported their families by basket making. An old man Patrick Normile who resided near my house and who died recently worked at the craft of basket making. The material he used was twigs which he found growing in the side of a little brook near his house. He used to make about half_a_dozen baskets at the time and next day go from place to place trying to dispose of them at one shilling each.
