    I give myself up to Almighty God and his blessed mother to guard and guide me. As he brought me safe from the harms and troubles of the day may he bring me safe from the harms and troubles of the night through his blessed mother Amen.
    When I lay my body down to sleep
    I give my soul to God to keep
    And if I die before I wake
    I pray to God my soul to take
    Amen.
