- (continued from previous page)the child crawl under him three times; and then to have the donkey blow his breath on a slice of bread; this bread was to be given to the child and it was a great cure for the whooping cough also.
The leaves of the dandelion were eaten as a cure for consumption. A weed that's called "garlic" was picked and boiled, and was drunk fasting, this was a cure for scurvey. Long ago people caught a worm named 'arc luacra' and licked him. Then that person would have a (cream) cure in his tongue for a burn. Sheep's milk and sulphur was a cure for measles. For a wisp on the eye people made the sign of the cross three times with a wedding-ring while both were fasting. It is said if you rub the milk of the dandelion to warts they will be cured in a week. Count all your warts and for each one put a stone into a bag. Let the bag at a cross road, and whoever will pick up the bag will take the warts.- Collector
