    When the plough appears in the sky it is said it is a sign of frost and very cold weather.
    When Curlews cry it is a sign of rain. When the seagulls fly inland it it a sign of rain also.
    When the moon is "muddy" looking it is a sign of rain.

    When the smoke ascends straight towards the sky it is a sign of good weather. If you see a blue flame in the fire a storm may be expected. If the evening sun is pale it is a sign of rain.
