  1. Billy Murphy and Patsy Creamer made brogues in Cloyne about forty years ago. Both of them lived in Spittal Street. They bought tanned leather from Michael Cahill who owned the tan--yard in Spittal. They also bought turned wood from Pat Twomey who was a "turner." The brogues were sold to the workmen around.
