  1. The Local Roads are, the New Road, Factory, Church, Cork, Crosshaven, and Church Hill, which leads out through Shinbone and Rose Hill to Minane.
    The New Road was the last to be opened from the village to Kinsale and Ballyfeard.
    The Factory Road, which leads from the Barrack Cross to Ballygarvan, derives its name from a factory which was erected in the locality in the past.
    Near the Church Road leading to Monkstown and Ringaskiddy, is built the Protestant Church, under the stately ruin of Carrigaline Castle and the Rock of the Lyons.
    The Cork Road leads to the city, by Carr's Hill and through Douglas. Others to the country the surrouding
