  1. In this locality there is a very old story about the Giants stairs. It is situated between Passage and Cork in an old place called Ronayne's Court. Near this old place there lived a wealthy couple named Ronaynes. They had a son called Philip. One morning when Philip was about seven years old, his Mother and Father missed him. He was no where to be found. Fortunately there lived at this time, near Carrigaline a Blacksmith named Robert Kelly. This Robert was an adventurer and Philip's mother asked Robert to find her son. So he obeyed. This night Robert and Philip's mother went to this Giant's Cave. The entrance to this Cave was by a very long hall. Robert took an Iron bar
