  1. A Cold
    Bathe feet in mustard and water, rub soles of feet with salt and wrap them in flannel - take a hot drink and go to bed.
    A Cough
    Make a syrup of flax-seed, lemon juice and sugar candy and take a table spoon of the mixture night and morning.
    Gout
    Bathe the feet in potatoe water.
    Rheumatism
    Carry a raw potatoe in your pocket. Renew the potatoe from time to time.
    Sore Throat
    Put roasted salt in a stocking and put it around the throat or Soak a piece of flannel in hot bacon fat and put it around the throat as hot as it can be borne.
    Warts
    A black snail rubbed to the warts and then stuck on the thorn of the white-thorn. As the snail dies the warts disappear.
    To purify the blood
    Cook boil young nettles and
