- An English soldier was shot and was buried in Matehy Graveyard. One night every grave in the graveyard removed except the soldier's grave. The graves crossed a river named Foxes Ford. Within a short distance of Matehy they stopped on top of Rock. In the river there is part of the old ruin that was in the graveyard.

Lion is a noble man or woman with brains and wealth.
A white horse signifies an early marriage.To be in an ancient abbey indicates future luck.
To see a sick child indicates news of a death.Birds.
They mean you will go on a journey or if hopping near your door it means luck for that day.Cats.
To lovers it means both are shy.
Cattle.
If driving cattle you will make money.Rabbit or Hare.
