  1. There was a bakery in Watergrasshill village about fifty years ago. Mr William Birmingham was the bakers name and he lived in a thatched house between the public house where Riordan's are now living and Tom Lombard's house. He had an oven for baking the bread.
    He used to make loaves of bread and then he used to sell it out for 8d a pair and he used to sell fourpenny loaves also. He used to supply the whole district around Watergrasshill with the bread.
