- As time passes on we can find many children and even young men and women playing different kinds of games. The games that were played long ago are the same nowadays. In the Summer time there is a big difference in the games then in the Winter time. These are the games I play. In the Summer I play football or a game of handball, and in the Winter time I play a game of cards or a game of draughts or some other game. In the Autumn time I go out picking blackberries or go bird-catching and so on. In the Winter time I play a game of draughts by the fireside or a game of Ludo or telling stories by the side. Boys play different games to those of girls. Boys play pitch and toss by throwing a penny up in the air and so on. Many men play this local game nowadays. More men play bowling and in this way they amuse themselves by playing these local games every day.
