    and scattered them on the floor. His wife was delighted gathering them up. A man in the neighbourhood heard about the purse and he wanted to claim it. He went to the poor man's house and told him that it was he that owned the purse. The poor man was sentenced to be hanged for stealing.
    When the day came and the hangman was putting the rope around the poor man's neck the latter said "open purse, open purse." and two men came out and hanged the hangman.
