“Our farm is situated in the townland of Acres.”
Our farm is situated in the townland of Acres. It is in the parish of Fermoy and in the barony of Condon and Clangibbon.
The names of our fields are, the caipín, the low-caipín', the haggard field, the lodge, the middle field, Ahern field, the Kiln field, the cottage field, the long field, and the short field.
The caipín got its name because it is shaped like a cap. One end of it is high and the other end is low and level. The low caipín got its name because it is near the caipín(continues on next page) - Collector
