    The seventh son in a family was supposed the have a gift of curing by secret means, various diseases. I heard of a seventh son who could cure cows of any illness without practising to be a Vet.
    There is a well in Mr. Dwane's land, known as St. Jeffery's. People with bad eye-sight are supposed to have been cured there.
