  1. Long ago people sought their remedies chiefly from herbs. For instance chickweed was ground and boiled and the brew used as a cure for jaundice.
    Dandelion tea was used as a cure for Kidney Trouble. Dandelion juice was used to cure warts. Dandelion was eaten as a salad for Rheumatism.
    Bark of elder and lard was used for a burn. Another cure for a burn was to lick an eas luacra and then to lick the burn. Another cure for warts was to steal a slice of bacon and make the sign of the cross over the warts and bury the bacon in a dung heap without anyone knowing it. When the bacon rotted the warts were cured. I knew a person who tried this and succeeded. Another cure for warts was to
