    years ago. They are worn by some people now. There was leather tanned in Kildorrery long ago.
    I cannot find anyone to tell me if any other kind of foot covering was made.
    The only saying I can hear is, "The life of an old boot is to polish it."

  2. Long ago the people did not wear boots until they reached manhood. I know two people who never wore boots up to forty years ago and these are still alive but very old.
    In the Summer the very poor children go barefooted but not in the Winter. It is said that the water after washing the feet should never be kept in the house because
