    a river flowing by the side of the wood. It is called the Abha Buidhe. It is of no importance from the water supply. It eventually joins the Blackwater.

  2. My home district is Scart. In the parish of Kildorrery. In the barony of Condon and Clongibbons. There are not many people in the townland about eighty people or twenty two families. There is no great number of people bearing any one name in particular.
    The old houses are thatched. Some are now covered with iron and the new ones are slated.
    There are two people in the district fairly old, but those are not able to tell Irish stories or English ones either.
