    Some people sprinkle holy water on them. The hen put on the eggs is called a clucker (clocker). The eggs are laid on hay in the middle of a box in the shape of a circle. The hen is taken off the eggs once a day for food and is then put in again.

    The names of our cows are:- The maol cow, the polly, Shorthorns, White-head, White legs Dexter, Mitchelstown, Cocked-horns, Murphy, the wild cow, Humpy-back and the "Glas Gaibhneach"
    The cow-house is also called a byre.
    In is there are three doors and five windows. When cross cows are being milked their hind legs are tied with a short rope called a spancel.
    The names of our horses are:- The Black Mare, Marjorie, White-face, chestnut pony and Cott.
    Our stable is long and narrow and it contains compartments for three horses
