  1. Potatoes are grown in our farm The usual amount we set is half an acre. For ridges the manure is spread before the ground is ploughed.
When potatoes are sat in drills the land is ploughed in late Winter or early Spring Then the ground is harrowed and ploughed and the drills are opened about thirty inches wide. Then the manure is spread in the drills allowing seven drills to every row of manure. Then the potatoes are sown and the drills are closed. When the stalks come over ground earth is put to them.
