    Nagle (as borne by Joseph Chichester Nagle, of Calverleigh Court, near Tiverton, Co. Devon, England, who assumed (by royal licence dated 5th August 1859) the latter surname of Nagle, on inheriting the estates of his maternal grand-uncle Joseph Nagle, of Calverleigh Co. Devon, and Ballygriffin, Co. Cork, he is son of Charles Joseph Chichester, Esq., a cadet of the Arlington family, by Honoria, his wife, daughter of Robert French of Rathasane, Co. Galway, Esq., and his wife Miss Nagle, sister to the above Joseph Nagle.
