  1. A Song

As you stand on the hill you'll see the mill

"As you stand on the hill
    You'll see the mill
That grinds the corn we grow.
    And right beyond
    Is the Cúl Áth(a) "grand"
    Quite adjacent to Mutton-Chop row".
    The remainder is "non est".
Milford derived its name from the Áth (ford) in the river (the Deel) & the mill on the bank. The hill referred to must be Kilbolane hill on the Ráth Luirc side of Milford.
The Mutton-Chop row included the houses of a doctor priest & a few shops. The Cúl Áth(a) was the poorer district (part) to the west of Mutton-Chop row. The Cúl Áth "grand" was meant to be sarcastic.
