    Mr. Jn. Mc.Carthy, Bunmona, Milford, Ráth Luirc, was Capt. of the old Milford football team. Mr. John D. O'Connell, Coolatour, Milford was V. Capt. The following were in the football team:-
    Frank Irwin, Tieracurra, Milford, Ráth Luirc,
    John Fitzgibbon, Maiden Hall, Ráth Luirc (now)
    Jim Irwin, Annagh, Churchtown, Mallow (now).

    Michael Sheehan, Highmount, Milford, Ráth Luirc,
    Pat Creagh,
    Jas. Lynch,
    Dan. Broderick,
    Pat Feore, Gibbingsgrove, Milford, Ráth Luirc
    John Feore, Bunmona, Milford, Ráth Luirc
    Anthony Mullins,
    Tom Burke,
    Willie OConnell, Draper, Drumcollogher (now)
    (Rev) Matt O'Connell P.P., (in England) now.
    "Our jackets" were white & green with a harp in front. We played a football match (against Feenagh) in Milford, in Wm. Broderick's field & won by 1 goal. At that time there was a point post at each side of the goal gap. Fr. FitzGerald, Feenagh refereed the match. We won a tournament in Charleville (Ráth Luirc) in 1904."
    The above played about 48 yrs. ago as Mr. Jn. Mc.Carthy is now about 68 yrs.
