  1. The name of my town-land is Ráth-luirc. There are over 600 houses around the district and there was only about 400 here before. Most of the houses are slated. There is a fair share of people over 70 years of age, there is; Mr. Flynn of Newline who can talk the Irish language, John Collins of Broghill who can also speak the Irish language, Mr. Cagney of Smiths Lane, Mrs. Dwane of Chapel Street who can also talk Irish, Mr. Allen of Buttevant Road, and Mr. O Callaghan.
