  1. There is a holy well in Fleming's field near Newtown. The name of the well is St Leonard's well. It is for the eyes. A woman from the west came to the well and was cured and her sight came back in her eye's again. She was asked what told her of the well and she said she dreamt it. It was said she saw St Leonard in the dream and he washing people's eye's. She made a search and found it. The well was first in the Church-yard. and was removed
