Once upon a time all the hares held a big meeting.

Once upon a time all the hares held a big meeting. They came to the conclusion that they were the most cowardly and God-forsaken beings. on the face of the earth and that they were afraid of everything. Then they said that they had no business living any longer and that they might as well drown themselves and get finished with it.
They set out for the sea and as they were going along they jumped up on a certain ditch. In the field outside a flock of sheep were grazing peacefully. When they saw all the hares they got startled and fled.
Instantly the hares plucked up courage and said that all the same there were cowardlier things in the world. Then the hares turned back and only for that there would be no hares in Ireland now.
