There is a field in Coolcoum called "Bual Anáirde".

There is a field in Coolcoum called "Bual Anáirde." It is said there was a battle fought in that field long-ago.
The "Dead Field" is also in Kilgrogan. About a hundred years ago when the cattle were suffering from the Foot and Mouth disease many of Cowhys cattle that died were buried in that field. Ever since it has been known as the "Dead Field".
The "Mon Abha" which is a wet boggy field is also in Cowhys.
