A robin builds her nest on the of a ditch. She lays five eggs sometimes six Her nest is made of moss with hair for lining. It takes a fortnight to hatch out the young and a month or two to rear them. Robins do not get their red breast until they are about one year old.
The corn crake builds her nest in a meadow, She makes her nest of green grass lined with mud. When the young are hatched and are reared they are coloured black. But when they grow old they turn greyish in colour. A corn crake does not fly very high only when she is going away from the country.
