  1. GHOSTS, BANSHEES
Although the ghost that was so much in evidence one hundred years ago, has long been laid, there are numbers in the locality who still believe in the “Banshee”. They still state that they are privileged to hear this weird cry in their home, and this is accepted as warning, that the death of some relation is to take place. The writer is assured by certain people whom he knows to be free from superstition that they have unmistakably heard the “Banshee” on the eve of the death of their relations.
