    And neighbours still love me who trod my halls
    At the outset of Life's long way,
    And they gaze with a sigh on my cold, gray walls.
    When they think of that long-gone day.

    My Children, far scattered in every land,
    In Church and in state are known,
    And they meet with the grasp of a loyal hand
    And love this old wreck as their own

    Where their manhood and Faith have won.
