Patrick O'Flynn Croughbawn wrote the following poetry about one of his comrades that was dead.
    Tamallain
In Kilabraher's cold clay he lies weeping today,
By the oak and the willow so grand
And many the day since together we did stray
By the scenes of our dear native land.
    II
Among the vales of sweet Cromoge
    He ne'er again will stray
Nor among the groves of Aughrim
or the county cross so gay,
His fleeting days on earth are spent.
