Gortnascregga. Here it stops and disappears. There is a story connected with Gortnascregga Fort. The owner put his horse into nearby field to go the following morning to the horse fair. When he arose at three o’clock, he could not find his steed. He searched every dyke with no result. At day break he came near the fort. The poor animal was sweating and traces of being lashed with a whip were on his sides. He looked tired and exhausted.
