In the townland of Knockhardsharrive there is a soldier's grave and behind it there is a big rock with printing on it and it is said to have '98 written on it. There are bushes growing over the rock now but the grave is still to be seen. People say that light is seen there often.

  2. The roads that we now know were not there long ago. The road from Cecilstown to Knockardsharrive ran down to the Kaetra[?] and along between the Kaetra wood and river and came out at Ardine and along the low road (The low road was there always)
